Launched in 1995, PRRO stands for “Professional Road Running Organization” and its predecessor was ARRA (Association of Road Racing Athletes, first series in 1981). The current circuit consists of a series of six Bucket List U.S. non-marathon road races with features for both elite athletes and every day runners. Elite athletes compete in the six events on the PRRO Championship Circuit for substantial prize money and a shot at the PRRO Super Bonus at the annual PRRO Championship. The current Circuit features more than $440,000 in prize money overall, with $148,100 available for U.S. athletes.
Every day runners can track their progress toward earning a PRRO-lific Finisher medal by completing all six of the events over the course of their careers. See how many you have completed by clicking here.
